Tutorial, Making Earring Wires using a Sharpie Marker

I wanted to share a easy way of making your own earring wires using a sharpie marker. Start with 20 to 22 gauge wire.

Using round nose pliers make a small loop.
Using your finger nail hold the loop close to the sharpie.
Wrap the wire around the sharpie forming an earring wire.
This is what it looks like when you slip it off the sharpie.
Cut off the extra wire and bend the last 1/8 inch up.  Place your earring wires on a metal block or a scrap of wood and tap them with a hammer to harden the wire.  If you have a file you can file the edges so they are smooth to touch.  Now repeat to make a pair.  For only a few cents you now have a set of earring wires.
Now add some beads to complete.  Enjoy!
